SHLOKA & ESSAY COMPETITION HELD AT

DAV SANSKRITI SCHOOL CHILDREN, HOUSTON

Shloka and Essay competition is a yearly tradition at DAV Sanskriti School. This year was the fourth year in a row when this competition was held. It’s a tradition that everyone looks forward to very eagerly and the preparations begin early in the year. Children participating in the Shloka competition are asked to prepare 2 Sholkas or Mantras from their Naitik Shiksha folder. The idea is to recite the Sanskrit version of the Shloka or mantra along with its meaning in English or Hindi. Children compete by their Naitik Shiksha class assignment and are judged on three criteria – overall presentation, recitation and meaning. [Read More]
