Annual Competitions Held at Mahatma Gandhi Library

On 3^rd October 09, the organizers of Mahatma Gandhi Library held various competitions at the Main Hall of Arya Samaj Greater Houston. This is a well known event and is open to all the schools in the Greater Houston Area. Participants compete in Essay, Speech and I-Tribute contests. Customarily DAV Sanskriti School students stand out in all contests amongst all the Indian organizations in Houston.

This year a new Debate Contest was introduced by the MGL organizers. The subject was ‘Might is Right’. Maintaining their tradition of winning spree every year, DAVSS Team bagged the First prize as a winning team along with a $300.00 cash award and a trophy. The DAVSS team winners were Aditi Luthra (13+) and Daksha Kapoor (11+). Daksha Kapoor also won individual 1st prize in debate.

Arjun Arora was declared as a winner of the 3^rd prize in Essay contest and Rishi Wagle won the 3^rd prize in Speech Contest in their respective age groups. First prize for I-Tribute (Media Presentation) went to media savvy Avichal Gulati.

Arya Samaj of Greater Houston is proud of all the winners and all other students who participated in these events.
