PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

Dear Arya Bandhus:

On behalf of all the Arya Pratinidhi Sabha Executive Committee & various working committees I wish you a very happy & prosperous New Year.

In July 2007, we had a very successful & enjoyable Arya Maha Sammelan in Dallas.  Thanks again to the Arya Maha Sammelan Committee & to the Dallas Maha Sammelan team for their hard work & hospitality.

I am very happy to announce that the venue & dates have been finalized for the 18th Arya Maha Sammelan to be held on July 31st, August 1st-3rd in New Jersey. Please mark your calendars & plan to attend the next Sammelan. The Sammelan Committee & and the local hosts are in the process of forming various committees. Like in the past two years, this year again we are focused on getting our youth engaged in nurturing Vedic values.  Hence the theme for the next Maha Sammelan has been chosen to be “Vedic Heritage and Youth”.

Please spread the word and come forward & contact Dr. Ramesh Gupta (201-602-7576) Dr, Rajinder Gandhi (201-818-0969), Dr. Bhushan Verma (281-980-2080) or any other member of the committee to offer your services. Further details for the Sammelan will be furnished to you in the very near future.

The construction of the Jeevan Prabhat Pondicherry started in June 2007. We have been regularly updating you about the construction progress by sending pictures in APSA electronic newsletter. We hope to complete the construction by February 2008.  Acharya Vachonidhi ji & his team have been working very diligently. Due to escalating cost of construction & depreciating dollar value the cost of the project has gone up by $ 74000. We have pledged to finish this project as planned which will house 50 children Thanks to all the donors who pledged generously for the construction of Jeevan Prabhat Pondicherry Center. We look forward for your continuous help & support. I encourage you to sponsor a child for one year by donating $180.

Jeevan Prabhat Pondicherry is a great humanitarian project which would make all the members of APSA very proud. I would encourage you to visit Jeevan Prabhat Gandhidham and Pondicherry center to really appreciate how the life of these kids is being changed forever. Dr. Rajinder Gandhi ji & Shri Girish Khosla ji are planning to visit the Pondicherry project & will give you further details on their return.

I want to thank all the working committees & other members who are working hard to meet the objectives & goals of APSA. Let us all resolve to make APSA a strong & unified organization following the path shown by Swami ji. No body will disagree that the success of any organization depends on the unity & team work spirit of their members. I believe we are working very hard towards that goal.

It is my request that any of you who has interest & desire to work in any of our working committees, please come forward & contact me or any other committee members. We would love to have your input, support & participation.

Wishing you all very happy, healthy, prosperous & blissful year,

Devinder Mahajan
